This month, we sat down with Frank De Leone, President of ImageOne Impact for some virtual coffee. We took time to chat about ImageOne’s 31-year impact, goals for the company and the industry, plus what innovations we might see next.

Frank De Leone founded ImageOne Impact in 1993 after attending a trade show and seeing display banners shifted from passersby bumping into the pipe and drape. Seeing the problem he decided to find the solution. The idea of seeing what the industry needs and finding a solution has continued to drive him and ImageOne’s work. He has gone on to create and innovate in the graphic space from stylish sturdy banner holders to safety rulers and media holders. The President of ImageOne Impact brings joy and color to the industry with his beautiful vehicle wraps and iconic hair hat.

What is it about your current industry that you felt spoke to you?

“The combination of creativity, technology, and the ability to make a visual impact attracted me to the sign and graphics industry. Allowing brands to present themselves with the best possible look and enhancing their designs is endlessly rewarding. Plus, we get to get creative everyday looking at how things can be done better, problem solving, and innovating for our products.”

How do you feel the health of the industry has been in the last few years? Future predictions?

“The industry has certainly shown a lot of resilience as of late. We are seeing steady growth coming out of the COVID Era which is really great to see. As we continue to grow our product lines and come out with more leading-edge products we are excited to keep growing with the industry and taking what we do to the next level. Luckily I don’t think graphic displays and vehicle wraps are going anywhere anytime soon.”

What’s the biggest challenge in the industry? How did your team address this?

“Certainly, the rapid pace of technological change is a major challenge in our industry and any industry. It is important to us to invest not just in our products but in our team as well. We are constantly learning, doing training, and adopting the latest technology. You have to so you can stay competitive in this landscape and continue to provide the best solutions to your customers.”

What changes have you seen in your industry that have surprised you the most? How did your team pivot?

“The industry is always changing and how people are shopping and buying products has certainly shifted since we started in 1993. We are constantly pivoting and expanding to adapt. We have actually created a unique distributor offering that has revolutionized our pricing and purchasing methods.”

What advice do you have for someone new in the industry? Advice for someone experienced?

“For Newcomers: Stay curious and embrace continuous learning.” “For the Experienced: Adaptability is key—always be open to new trends and technologies.”

What product does your company currently sell that’s quickly becoming a favorite of yours?

“I’m a big fan of our shop tools, tables, and accessories. Shops are a prime location for innovation and improving workflows. Looking at the process and thinking 'how could we do this better, or faster, or easier?' is one of my favorite aspects of what we do, and print shops are certainly a prime candidate for that. Knowing that we are helping businesses is endlessly rewarding.”

Where do you see your company in the next year? In the next five?

“In the next year, we aim to expand our Master Distributor Network so we can continue to collaborate with more businesses and help our products find the people who need them. In five years, as we continue to innovate and improve upon key industry staples, we envision being a leader in our industry.”

What goals does your company have for the year-end?

“We have the goals you might expect. We are aiming to increase our market share and launch some incredible new products. But, more than anything, our goal is to continue enhancing customer satisfaction through innovative solutions. Our success depends on the success of our customers so we will keep listening to them and serving their needs.”
