How to Oil Fellowes Cross-Cut and Micro-Cut Shredders?

To oil high security shredders, please refer to the Troubleshooting section of the Fellowes website for more detailed instructions. For best results, use only Fellowes oil to oil your shredder. Do not use lubricants from aerosol containers or petroleum-based products as these products will void the warranty and could create a fire hazard, causing serious damage and/or injury. Regularly oiling your Fellowes shredder helps keep it running at peak performance and extends product life. To oil your shredder, first press and hold down the reverse button. Then place the bottle tip just above the paper entry and gently squeeze oil in two quick sweeps over the cutters. To finish, run the shredder in reverse for another ten seconds. You should oil cross-cut shredders each time you empty the waste basket or at least twice a month. Micro-cut shredders should be oiled more frequently, ideally, after every 15 minutes of use.
