What options do you have for punching holes in my documents?

Many of today’s binding methods are of the punch-and-bind variety. That means you need to use paper that has holes punched in it. Punching holes in your documents is easy and there are three ways you can do it. Here they are:

  • Use a three-hole punch.  Using a three-hole punch is one of the easiest ways to punch holes in your documents. You should keep one of these devices on-hand if you frequently work with three-ring binders and/or screw posts.
  • Use a modular binding punch.  Modular binding punches are very helpful, especially if you use more than one binding method. These devices can produce hole patterns for three-ring binders as well as plastic comb, wire, coil, and VeloBind binding.
  • Use a paper drill.  If you regularly need to put holes in large quantities of paper, using a paper drill is your best bet. These devices can typically process an entire ream of paper in just one go, depending on the number of spindles the machine has. Using a paper drill can help you save a lot of time.

Punching holes in your documents is an essential part of the binding process and it’s easy to do. Give one of the above methods a try so you can produce your own beautifully bound documents from the comfort of your own office.
