Introducing the Hard Drive Crushing Series by Proton Data Security. Let’s take a look at the Proton PDS-100 automatic hard drive crushing device. The PDS-100 has an NSA evaluated [listing – 00:22] for the destruction of hard drives after degaussing. The PDS-100 takes physical hard drive destruction one step further than the PDS-75 by providing an automatic motor-driven operation. Simply insert the hard drive, and sensors will automatically start an 8-second cycle. It powers [ever – 00:42] interrupted or unavailable during this 8-second cycle. A unique feature of the PDS-100 is its ability to operate manually like the PDS-75. It’s simple to use. Grab the crank handle and continue to securely destroy your hard drives. The PDS-100 has the option to add on the [rear output slide – 01:09] which allows hard drives to fall out of the back of the unit (after the destruction process is complete) into the receptacle of a customer’s choosing. The auto loader which attaches to the front of the unit allows for drives to be automatically fed into the front of the unit to push the already destroyed drives out of the back.
The PDS-100 is also NSA evaluated and listed for the second-stage destruction of hard drives after degaussing. An important note to make is that using a degausser is the only way to guarantee that all data on hard drives and other magnetic media is completely unrecoverable during the physical destruction stage. With an NSA listing after degaussing and several different customizable options, the Proton PDS-100 Automatic Hard Drive Crushing Device is ready to be added to any hard drive crushing operation.
